    I love relaxing and watching your carvings, there amazing. I really enjoy watching you carve the minatures. Iv taken up whittling a little while ago.       Thanks Brendan. I'm fine. It's with my hands I had trouble since before Christmas. They are slowly coming around. Some nerve damage and over use. I had to take a new job and don't have much time to spare. I hope to get back to doing some videos real soon

    Just love the sound of knife slicing through timber , im a lefty as well for years i did oil painting then two years agoafter bad hip op i needed some thing else i got bored with painting and started whittling little men out of 1x1 did a few more ambious peices now im doing a cartoon like figure of a cowboy gun slinger big hat big mastache about to draw both pistolsi want one eve closed the other wide open left leg slightly in front of the other im asking have you done anythig like that im sort of stuggling, love all you videos iv seen to date ,cheers from Australia, ps i might have left it to late as im 85 ln sept

      Mark, I had a lot of trouble with my hands since Christmas. I done very little carving since then. I took a new job this spring and haven't had much time to carve. Plan on getting back at the videos soon though. Keep an eye out. Thanks

      Taking big chunks comes in time along with a little confidence. The more you carve the more comfortable you will get taking bigger bites into the wood

    WHY is the face allways last to be done and i think the easyest to stuff up, is that a piece of pine wood ?

      Good question. There's no particular reason why I do it last. It's just how I did it from the start. Yes it's pine I use

      I can't say to be honest on the degree. Maybe somewhere near the thickness of a dime or a nickel between the knife and stone.

      It's white pine I use. Most of it is soft. The occasional piece maybe not so good to carve
